HYDERABAD: Following a commanding display on the second day of the 1st Test between IND and ENG at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, India now firmly controls the series opener. Rohit Sharma's team posted a total of 421/7, establishing a substantial 175-run lead over England, who had scored 246 in reply. Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, currently at the crease, have added 63 runs for the 8th wicket, further strengthening India's position. England, struggling to assert control with the ball, face additional challenges with Jack Leach's injury limiting his overs to just 16 out of 87 on the second day. Despite being in deep trouble, England looks to their spinners - Leach, Joe Root, Tom Hartley, and Rehan Ahmed - to wrap up India's batting and stage a comeback with a strong batting performance.
