Sushma Andhare: "We are Not Worried About Thane Result"

Thane: Addressing a press conference during the Matritirtha to Shivtirtha Mukt Samvad Yatra in Thane, Sushma Andhare, spokesperson of the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group, expressed confidence in their stronghold in Thane, stating, "Thane is not the chief minister's stronghold but Anand Dighe's stronghold, and we are his loyal Shiv Sainiks, so we are not worried about the result of Thane."

Andhare highlighted concerns about rising hooliganism and crime in Thane, emphasizing that crimes against loyal Shiv Sainiks are being overlooked while autonomous systems are being misused. She criticized the government for neglecting issue
s such as inflation, corruption, and lack of basic amenities like roads, electricity, and water in many villages.

Responding to queries about political dynamics, Andhare pointed out instances of magnanimity, citing an invitation extended by Sharad Pawar to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister for dinner despite their absence from a government program in Baramati. She refrained from supporting personal abuse in the context of the SIT filed against Manoj Jarange Patil but questioned the selective nature of investigations and urged scrutiny into incidents like the lathi charge.

Furthermore, Andhare criticized the conduct of corporators, alleging their primary focus on bill collection rather than addressing the concerns of the people. She warned against complacency among elected representatives, asserting their power to both build up and bring down leaders based on public sentiment.

Taking a swipe at Shiv Sena spokesperson Naresh Mhaske, Andhare questioned his need for constant security, asserting that even a humble rickshaw puller could challenge him if the party withdrew its support.

The statements from Andhare reflect the ongoing political dynamics and the Shiv Sena's strategy to maintain its stronghold amidst emerging challenges in Thane.
