33 Decisions Taken in Maharashtra Cabinet Meeting Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

In a significant move aimed at addressing various societal needs and concerns, the grand coalition government in Maharashtra took 33 key decisions during a cabinet meeting held on Monday, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The decisions encompass a wide range of issues, from infrastructure development to social welfare schemes, reflecting a concerted effort to cater to the diverse needs of the populace.

Key Decisions Made:

Among the notable decisions, the cabinet approved the establishment of a grand central park in Mumbai, aimed at enhancing green spaces and recreational facilities in the city. Additionally, measures such as the Assured Progress Scheme for teachers and employees in recognized schools, as well as additional electricity concessions for looms, were also sanctioned to support various sectors of the economy.

Furthermore, the cabinet granted a plot in Navi Mumbai for the Dhangar Samaj, underscoring the government's commitment to addressing the needs of marginalized communities. Stamp duty concessions for BDD Gale holders and slum dwellers were also announced, aimed at providing relief to vulnerable sections of society.

Focus on Education and Tribal Welfare:

This includes upgrading 61 tribal subsidized ashram schools and implementing schemes to provide secondary and higher secondary education facilities. Empowerment of Women and Ensuring Gender Equality:

In a significant move towards gender equality, the cabinet mandated the inclusion of mother's names on government documents, effective from May 1, 2024, onwards. This decision aims to recognize the pivotal role of mothers in society and ensure their rightful representation in official records.

  • Allocation of land for Maharashtra Bhavan in Ayodhya
