Kalyan: In a significant move against illegal constructions, Assistant Commissioner of Division I, Hema Mumbarkar, spearheaded the demolition of 10 illegal chalis in the Malang Road area of Kalyan East. These unauthorized structures, erected in the Vdarli and Davadi village limits, were obstructing the original urban settlement and causing disruption to public infrastructure.
The demolition operation, conducted with the assistance of the Unauthorized Construction Control Team, targeted the illegal chawls that had been erected by the land mafia. These structures were being misused for godowns and shops selling construction materials, resulting in blockages of roads, drains, and other essential resources.
Numerous complaints regarding these illegal chalis had been received by Assistant Commissioner Mumbarkar, prompting a thorough inspection and subsequent action. Under her directive, Commissioner Dr. JCB, Deputy Commissioner Avadhoot Tawde, and their team carried out the demolition process, leveling the unauthorized structures and restoring order to the affected area.
Despite facing opposition from political groups and locals attempting to obstruct the operation, Assistant Commissioner Mumbarkar remained steadfast in her commitment to upholding the law.
