Movement to join the Grand Alliance (BJP) ? Raj Thackeray's Arrival in Delhi Sparks Speculation on Maharashtra Politics

New Delhi:
With the Lok Sabha elections underway, the political landscape in Maharashtra is witnessing a flurry of activities. The recent arrival of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray in Delhi has ignited discussions and speculations about the party's strategy for the upcoming polls.

Raj Thackeray's frequent visits to Delhi in recent days have fueled anticipation, especially amidst talks of a possible alliance with the Grand Alliance. It is reported that Thackeray is likely to meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his stay in Delhi, where discussions regarding seat allocation, particularly in Maharashtra, are expected to take place.

While the MNS refrained from contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Thackeray's decision to enter the electoral fray this year has stirred curiosity. Amidst the political upheaval in the state over the past two years, the MNS is now gearing up to contest the elections, with speculation rife that the South Mumbai constituency could be a favorable battleground for the party.

Bala Nandgaonkar is rumored to be a potential candidate for the South Mumbai seat under the MNS banner. However, whether the party will contest all constituencies independently or opt to support existing alliances remains undecided.

Thackeray's increased interactions with Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have further fueled speculation, hinting at a possible alignment with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). With Thackeray's active involvement in campaigning and political engagements, his meetings with senior leaders, including Amit Shah, are anticipated to shed light on the future course of action.

As Maharashtra eagerly awaits the outcome of these deliberations, the political landscape is poised for potential shifts and alliances ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
