On Facebook, people saw Abhishek Ghosalkar get shot in his stomach and shoulder. They also heard three more gunshots in the video. A police officer said Ghosalkar got hit by four bullets. The person who shot him, Noronha, used an illegal gun and then shot himself too.
The police said Ghosalkar and Noronha didn't get along. But they were trying to make things better during the Facebook video. They wanted to fix their relationship to help their neighborhood.
This incident adds to concerns over the law and order situation in Maharashtra, coming just days after a BJP MLA was seen firing at an Eknath Shinde faction leader in Ulhasnagar. Uddhav Sena leader Sanjay Raut has called for the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in response to the Mumbai shooting.
Former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray expressed dismay over the deterioration of law and order in the state. Abhishek Ghosalkar had met with Thackeray before the tragic event.
